We Believe

Tell me about yourself – who are you?

This question has come up several times in the past few weeks.
My short answer:
I am a wife, mom, and new grandmother
I am a singer, musician and worship arts director
I enjoy knitting

These are wonderful bits of information and I am proud of them, but I am much deeper than this list.

There is one statement that shapes me and directs my life:
I am a Christian and…
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.  Amen.

Beginning this Sunday, at 10:26am, we will gather and sing a new song at Grace Anglican Community – We Believe by Richie Fike, Travis Ryan and Matt Hooper

It’s a declaration of belief.

I pray that this song brings you joy as you sing it with thanksgiving!

I can’t wait to worship with you Sunday!
